A gear pump operates as a positive displacement rotary pump, transferring liquids or generating pressure through the changing volumes created between the meshing gears and the pump housing. The pump consists of two interlocking gears enclosed within a tightly fitted pump body and front and rear covers, forming two sealed chambers.

Plunger pumps are generally classified into single plunger pumps, horizontal plunger pumps, axial plunger pumps and radial plunger pumps.

These orbit motors are designed with a fixed internal gear ring connected to the housing. Hydraulic oil entering through the oil port drives the rotor to revolve around a central axis. The rotor, which rotates slowly, then transfers power through a splined shaft to produce output motion.
